Seattle World Tour Stops In Five Neighborhoods For Five Different Concerts For Charity The Seattle World Tour is a five day celebration of art, culture, and community in different neighborhoods around the city. From January 8 through January 12, five different venues will host various lineups. The festival will feature a total of 17 local artists and bands. To put on this event, our friends at the culture-and-news site Respect My Region teamed up with All Star Opera, a band based in Seattle. The Seattle World Tour will raise money for Mary’s Place, a charitable organization that provides safe, inclusive shelter and services that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness. The Seattle World Tour is supported by major companies like Guayaki Yerba Mate, Dick’s Drive-In, Jones Soda, and Zeek’s Pizza. Together, they’re helping raise money for the No Child Sleeps Outside campaign. On every stop of the tour, organizers will be accepting clothing donations for Mary’s Place. And every stop will also be an epic celebration. The series will kick off at the Nectar Lounge in Fremont. This venue sits in the heart of the neighborhood. A lot of quirkiness is packed into just a few short blocks, making it the perfect place to boogie to some funky local music. Featured acts will include funk-loving Biddadat, synth-pop rock band Trick Candles, and electronic duo Cuff Lynx. All Star Opera will perform every night, preparing a unique set for each venue. Night two will be in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, where a diverse group of passionate artists will take the stage. DJ Marvelous will be spinning records followed by Sendai Era, an Asian-American electro-pop-hop duo. Then MistaDC, a soulful R&B artist, will take the stage. TeZATalks will close the show with her powerful voice and alt-electronic pop sounds. The mid-point of the tour will head into the historically cinematic Belltown neighborhood. A high energy night at The Crocodile is in store as funk-infused Marshall Law Band opens the night. Americana rock and rollers Chris King and the Gutterballs will hit it right before the hip-hop duo Kung Foo Grip brings their punk attitude to the stage. In the heart of the Pioneer Square neighborhood is one of the oldest bars in the entire city. The Central Saloon has hosted major names such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. It’s an regional icon that local bands COSMOS, Tres Leches, and Gypsy Temple all get to build their legacies at. The tour will end in Columbia City at the Columbia City Theatre. This is the night that All Star Opera will headline to celebrate this weeklong journey. Dream pop surfer rock band La Fonda will take the stage along with powerful singer Whitney Monge and rapper Ralphy Davis.
