This growing Oregon company doesn't sell cannabis. They teach people about it.
The Sativa Science Club is a company in Oregon that’s been featured in Forbes. But they don’t actually produce or sell cannabis, sativa or otherwise. Instead, they educate and train cannabis employees, entrepreneuers and advocates. They’re working to create a more informed, empowered industry.
"There is a lack of education for budtenders, who are the face of the industry," the teacher explained to students, during one class attended by a reporter for Willammette Week. "If a new customer has a negative or confusing experience, they may not try cannabis again, never discovering a certain product that could really help them or a loved one."
